Sober After Midnight is an award-winning fine art photography series exploring the intimate and universal experience that unfolds behind the scenes of a night out. The work traces the subtle tension between control and surrender, from the anticipation of putting on your shoes to the relief of slipping them off, from a carefully constructed self to the quiet chaos of the bathroom mirror at the end of the night. The series was created in response to the open call "After Midnight," organised by Different Class, Fujifilm Belgium and AB Concerts, and was selected as the winning entry. Shot in Belgium, it is part of an ongoing personal photography practice explores the dualities we all carry.
